This is basically the kind of service I got. I went in for some morning coffee when I lived in Tremont and was walking around the neighborhood. I figured I'd get a breakfast sandwich, but they all had ham or something, so I asked if they could just give me egg and cheese (when I was vegetarian, before I was vegan.)

The lady said they couldn't just do that. I guess she meant that in the manner you described. Like it was some piece of art. But it's just a coffee shop that sells food, not exactly fine dining.

In general, she was rude to me. Sad thing is I think she was the owner. I frequented the place, but never went back after that.
