So I stopped into the local CVS store this evening to pick up a few things and upon reaching the registers I noticed quite the funny and yet disturbing exchange of words. Here’s a lady with her 3 year old child and a store employee. The mother is telling her child that taking things without paying for them is wrong and that if he did it, the store lady would have to call the police and take him to jail. The little kid was standing there with a bag of some sort (turns out to be gummy worms) hidden in his hat that he was holding behind his back. The kid was smart enough to try and hide the bag in his hat.
The kid, crying not because he was in trouble, but because he got caught took 5 minutes to put the worms back with his mother scolding him all the while the employee standing there watching. How pathetic. 3 year old child is already learning to steal from our stores and all his mom had to say was put if back or you will go to jail. And people wonder why the crime rate is what it is. If this was my kid, his ass would have been royally right there in front of everyone. Of course, that would never be my kid because I actually PARENT my child and teach him to be a valuable member of society, not a leech of it. Bah!
