Restaurant Review 4 – Angelo’s Diner, Garfield Heights, Ohio

For those of you that read my reviews, you can tell that I am not easily impressed and am more than willing to give you my blunt opinion of a place. Today’s lunch trip was no exception to the rule. This, however, is a slightly different scenario than most. Rather than reviewing after one trip, I am reviewing after my 3rd. Benefit of the doubt, right? STILL quite unimpressed. As you can see in the picture attached below, this place touts their corned beef as being top notch. I have heard rumors that this place compares to Slyman’s Deli. So, I thought I would check it out. 3rd visit and 3rd time they were “out” of corned beef. All three times I was told that their order was late and that they just ran out. Ugh! Strike one (and should be two and three), no corned beef at a place that touts it as Cleveland’s Best. So, at the recommendation of the waitress, I ordered the Garfield Burger, medium rare. How was it served? Medium well. And before you think she misheard me, that is not the case. She even questioned my rare request to which i reinforced it. Strike two. Already pissed off, and already stated verbally that after the third attempt for corned beef and no luck, i would never be coming back, you would think they would go out of their way to provide me with great service to help curb my frustration. Hahaha, i was sorely mistaken. Slow and quite poor service.

I hold true to my statement… I will not be visiting that place again. Angelo… Find better management staff to do your food ordering and train your staff on customer service if you plan on staying open long.
